Acting Labor Commissioner Louis DeBroux
Louis DeBroux served as the Acting Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) from November 2024 to April 2025, following the passing of Commissioner Bruce Thompson. Prior to this role, DeBroux was Thompson’s Chief of Staff, where he played a significant part in implementing modernization initiatives within the department. During his interim tenure, DeBroux focused on enhancing the department’s efficiency and responsiveness, overseeing substantial updates to Georgia’s unemployment systems, and collaborating with career centers to improve workforce services statewide. Upon the appointment of Bárbara Rivera Holmes as Georgia’s 11th Labor Commissioner in April 2025, DeBroux expressed his commitment to ensuring a seamless leadership transition. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the department’s momentum in delivering exceptional service to Georgia’s workforce. DeBroux’s leadership during this period was recognized for upholding the department’s mission and preparing it for continued success under new guidance.
Congressman Barry Loudermilk
Barry Loudermilk is a Republican U.S. Representative for Georgia’s 11th Congressional District, serving since 2015. A native of Riverdale, Georgia, Loudermilk is a U.S. Air Force veteran who served from 1984 to 1992, specializing in communications operations. After his service, he earned a degree in Occupational Education and Information Systems Technology from Wayland Baptist University. He later founded an IT services company and co-owned a flight training center. Before his election to Congress, Loudermilk served in both the Georgia House of Representatives and State Senate, establishing a reputation as a strong conservative voice. In Congress, Loudermilk sits on the House Financial Services Committee and the Committee on House Administration, where he serves as Vice Chair of the Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Monetary Policy. He also served on the House Judiciary Subcommittee. Loudermilk is a member of the Republican Study Committee and the Bipartisan FinTech and Payments Caucus. He and his wife, Desiree, live in northwest Georgia and have three grown children and seven grandchildren. He is active in his faith and community as a practicing Baptist.
GA Election Board Member Janice Johnston
Dr. Janice Johnston is a retired obstetrician who has served on the Georgia State Election Board since her appointment by the Georgia Republican Party in March 2022. Her involvement in election oversight began after the 2020 presidential election, where she actively participated in Fulton County election board meetings, expressing concerns about election integrity and advocating for increased scrutiny of election procedures. Johnston continues to be an influential voice in Georgia’s election oversight, contributing to the development of policies intended to uphold the integrity of the state’s electoral system.
NRA President Bob Barr
Bob Barr is an American attorney and politician who has served as the president of the National Rifle Association (NRA) since May 2024. Born on November 5, 1948, in Iowa City, Iowa, Barr spent much of his youth abroad due to his father’s military career, graduating from high school in Tehran, Iran. He earned a B.A. from the University of Southern California, an M.A. from George Washington University, and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. Barr worked as a CIA analyst from 1971 to 1978 before being appointed U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia by President Ronald Reagan in 1986. He served in that role until 1990. In 1994, Barr was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives for Georgia’s 7th District, serving until 2003. During his tenure, he was a prominent conservative voice, known for authoring the Defense of Marriage Act and serving as a House manager during President Bill Clinton’s impeachment proceedings. After leaving Congress, Barr joined the Libertarian Party and was its 2008 presidential nominee. He returned to the Republican Party in 2011. As NRA president, Barr has pledged to vigorously defend Second Amendment rights and expand the organization’s membership, particularly during the 2024 election year. His election followed the resignation of longtime NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre amid financial misconduct allegations. Barr’s leadership aims to restore the NRA’s credibility and focus on its core mission of advocating for gun rights.
