Join us on the Tennessee House floor for an afternoon of insight, networking, and civic engagement as we bring together Tennessee’s top public officials and emerging leaders. This special event will feature remarks from Governor Bill Lee (pending confirmation), State Senator Mark Pody, and other distinguished voices from across the state who are working every day to strengthen Tennessee through public service.

Whether you're currently involved or just beginning your journey, this is an opportunity to learn how to engage with local and state government, better understand how public institutions work, and explore how you can contribute to your community through leadership and service.

Attendees will also hear from nationally syndicated radio host Clay Travis and Tennessee broadcasting icon Matt Murphy, who will share their perspectives on civic involvement, free expression, and the responsibilities of American citizenship.

This event is a platform for Tennessee’s next generation of leaders to connect, learn, and be inspired to serve.

  • Organizer of Young Conservatives Day on the Hill!

    Senator Mark Pody represents Tennessee’s 17th Senate District, which includes Wilson County and part of Davidson County. He was first elected to the State Senate in 2017 after serving four terms in the Tennessee House of Representatives.

    A small business owner and longtime resident of Lebanon, Senator Pody has focused his public service on issues related to government transparency, education, and community development. He is known for his commitment to faith, family, and civic engagement and remains active in his church and local community.

    Senator Pody lives in Lebanon with his wife, Barbara Lynne, and their two children. He currently serves on multiple legislative committees and continues to advocate for strong, accountable government across Tennessee.

Harwell holds a Ph.D. in political science and has served as a professor at Belmont University.
